Fire Chief Jarett Metheny is the founder of Keystone Fire & Safety Consulting, bringing over three decades of distinguished leadership and experience across every rank of the fire service. He currently serves as Fire Chief for the Ozark (MO) Fire Protection District, demonstrating current, active command-level expertise. As a credentialed fire officer, Chief Metheny holds the highest professional certifications, including the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) designation, and is a graduate from the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer (EFO) Program. His comprehensive consulting experience includes facilitating strategic planning, providing risk assessment, and designing Fire Officer selection and promotional processes.
The unique value of Keystone Consulting is the deliberate integration of active command experience with high-level academic rigor. Chief Metheny’s academic foundation includes a Master of Science degree from Oklahoma State University in Fire & Emergency Management Administration. This expertise is utilized extensively, as he serves as an Adjunct Professor for multiple university fire and emergency services programs and is a regular presenter at state and national conferences, including the International Association of Fire Chiefs and the Missouri University Fire Service Leadership and Ethics Program. To further deepen this strategic focus, Chief Metheny is completing a Master of Arts in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology, which will be completed in December 2026. This focus allows Keystone to deliver cutting-edge, data-driven solutions for organizational culture, leadership ethics, and performance optimization—turning complex challenges into high-performance executive strategies.
